This resulted in a temporary traffic jam, highlighting a growing safety concern for the region. The approximately 4.5 km long Tapti Ghat section of the Betul-Athner road, a crucial route in MP, has witnessed a surge in accidents lately. The narrow width forces vehicles to give way to others making safe passage challenging, especially for larger vehicles. Recent attempts to widen the road by adding soil have unfortunately worsened the situation, as the rain has washed the soil onto the road surface making it extremely slippery and hazardous. Local residents and MLA Virat Bamne have raised serious concerns over this increasing threat to motorists and are calling for urgent road improvements to ensure the safety of the people of Madhya Pradesh. This is a matter of State pride, and quick action is needed to prevent future incidents and maintain smooth traffic flow on this important route. We call for the Madhya Pradesh Public Works Department to take swift action to address the ongoing concerns and prevent further accidents on this vital section of highway connecting Betul and Athner. The states infrastructural safety is paramount for ensuring smooth travel and fostering economic growth throughout the region.
